Last Thursday night, Chen under went a surgery removing small bone spurs from his right knee at Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
The recovery is averaged 3-4 months and by then, Chen is expected to be fully recovered and able to start Spring Training in February when pitchers and catchers report.
Earlier this season, Chen missed a near 2 months with a left oblique strain. This will hopefully prevent any future knee discomforts.
