Alright... the Red Sox and Orioles are on the same level, so how were the Orioles not able to hit anything over those few days??

Also, I was in Boston (a field trip to see the revolutionary sights) a few days before this series happened... Although Fenway has a reputation for being a "trashy" ballpark, it still looks pretty cool from the highway at night... Green was an interesting color choice for a stadium though...

With all do respect, Steve Bartman. Who has been living in pity for over twelve years. I still don't understand why people hate you that much. All you wanted to do was grab a baseball. If someone was in your shoes, wouldn't you do the same thing? It really wasn't his fault when you think about it, the Cubs' fans just looked for someone to blame. It would be wonderful if Bartman would come out to Wrigley again, but he has since declined the offer.

News Inside the Yard:

Ubaldo Jimenez finally got his 100th win. If he was pitching worth his money, he would of been there in 2014.

Also thought I'd state, the final series the Orioles will play will be at home against the yankees from the 2nd to the 4th. I think MLB quite honestly did this on purpose so that will have something to regret for the entire winter.

Disabled List (updates):
Adam Jones, placed on the day-to-day disabled list with back spasms. Quite honestly, I believe the Orioles are over working him at this point (at least that's what it seems like).

Considering that all the teams the Orioles played over these last nine games, were all second place teams or better this series went surprisingly well.

PLAYERS- WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Xavier Avery, was one of the Orioles prospects I remember. He was picked in the MLB draft, for the Orioles when he was 18 years old. He was actually quite good, I believe he played in left field to replace Nate McLouth when he was injured. Right now, he's currently playing in the minor leagues (triple A). Speaking of, where's Nate McLouth you may ask? Some of us may remember his heartbreaking decision to sign with the Orioles neighbor, the Washington Nationals. He's still there now, although it says he last played last year... It's probably because he's recovering from right shoulder surgery- an injury that must of happened early on in the season so now he can't play.

Today (for real this time), is the 20th anniversary of Cal Ripken Jr.'s 2,131st consecutive game or when he surpassed Lou Gehrig in the Iron Man Record.

Although someone will probably surpass the record another 20 years later, today will still mark a day that Cal Ripken should be remembered for his devotion and perseverance in baseball. He is an inspiration for all aspiring and even professional baseball players today. Thank you, Cal.

Just Because the Orioles Didn't Make it That Far Means Nothing in Orioles Future

I am not bothering to post the scores of the Orioles game. I am not bothering to explain what they did wrong or what they should of done. This is a time to keep moving forward and not look back at the damage that has been done.

    To be honest the best teams don't always have to make it to the world series. It's the role of fate that causes who wins. I am one not to judge the players of the Orioles. I see that the staff and them tried their hardest and that is what makes me think they've won in the long haul. Yes, I may of been upset they didn't make it. But really this is the farthest the Orioles have made it in a long, long time. You can't just go from underdog to first rate team (well the royals did) in a matter of a season. Anyone who goes against the Orioles are just jealous (re: Jeremy Guthrie wearing the t-shirt "these O's will never be royal") they've picked players that most major teams stick their noses up at and don't bother giving a chance. Buck Showalter's strategic moves really shined with the players. The pitchers may not of been that great, but man something about the way the infielders and outfielders worked together both offensively and defensively was a brilliant thing to watch. To see these players play with so much compassion and devotion far past what others just do for money is amazing and to see these players give back to the fans and organization is amazing as well.
   So, a world series trophy might not be coming home this year but I'm still up to seeing what the future has to hold. It was far amazing to see how the Orioles made out without their stars - Davis, Wieters, Machado... and to see them manage to win even without them. I feel a confident future ahead. I really do. But for now I am just going to drink in the future and hope for the best.

I spit on you Jeremy Guthrie for wearing that shirt to the press conference. The whole organization and yourself should be embarrassed for what you have done. As an adult your age, you should have enough morality in your mind to not wear the shirt or even buy it. I hope you got what you wanted. The two things you need to have while playing sports in the positive mind and respect for others which you lack. You don't even deserve to be playing in major league baseball. Children are looking up to you.

As for the Orioles players and organization I hope you enjoy your off season. You deserve it!

I am really sorry for being on a bit of a hiatus these last few weeks. I had a bit of stress from school and when I did have time to write I could only write a one-liner. Anyways, here it finally is after two weeks and some procrastination.

This is the farthest the Orioles have gone for a long time. Since 1997. It was very amazing how they were able to go against all odds and win against all three Cy Young pitchers. I don't even know how they did it. I do feel bad for the Tigers fans though after all they've been through with bankruptcy and this was probably their only everything. That and football. The next series hasn't been looking good for the Orioles at all. So it's probably the end soon. I am not giving up hope, but the royals are a hard team to beat especially when they've got a song named after them. They always steal bases and it's just not possible to prevent that. The Orioles only key thing really is home runs which have been at a loss recently. I wish the Orioles the best of luck through these last few games if they can find a way to pull through. They're going to really play hard these next few games. Mainly the pitchers. 

In the long term the Orioles need to start investing in pitchers. Their infielders and outfielders stock is fine. They should look to make contracts with their catcher, Matt Wieters and right fielder, Nick Markakis. But as for pitchers they really need to be willing to spend more money on them in order to get the best. The Orioles need to get their hands in the free agency in order to pay a decent amount of money for a pitcher who can secure wins. With Ubaldo Jimenez last year, they paid the money but he didn't succeed in securing wins. If they work on their pitching they're a potential winning team. 

Now, I haven't stopped believing the Orioles as it might seem like it. I'm just stating that the odds aren't looking quite good right now and in order to secure that position of being in the playoffs often so they have more chances IF they don't make it.

Look's like this season is going into overtime...

News- Chris Davis gets a 25-day suspension. To be honest this is not a big deal to me. Everyone does it, did it and eventually they learn their lesson. I can understand the view point of being frustrated and not persistent enough with yourself to the point where you turn to drugs to make you play better. At the beginning of this year, everyone expected Davis to be as stellar as he was last year. But for some reason he just couldn't find that rhythm again. Along with the pressure of sportscasters and critics it forced him to turn to drugs (amphetamine in this case which is used for focus). This should NOT change the way Baltimore is viewed though. The same thing happened to the yankees, but they are still one of the top sports fan bases ever. You should not just focus on one player because this didn't really effect the team or the number of wins if they didn't have Davis. Davis would always hit where there was already a lead (mostly). Baseball is not a one man show. You should look to the good before you look to the bad. This was not steroid use.

The Orioles have clenched the American League East title for the first time since 1997. Yes, there was 2012 but the Orioles did not get the title but won the wildcard. Time to wipe the dust off my Orioles playoff shirt and wear it with pride!

Adam Jones is easily declared the best player in Major League Baseball. Pieing both fellow teammate,Nick Markakis and a fan. He also found ways to include everyone in this celebration- batgirls and batboys, fans, coaches, players and managers.

To all the people who declared the Orioles a last place team, I hope you did your 2015 projections in pencil...

Comments: So listen up. I know I am going to get a lot of I told you so's, but we are missing the point of sports. It's the nationals past time. People do not have the right to interfere with others. To any one who laughed at me liking the Orioles, I actually get at the true meaning of baseball. No matter what team you choose you stick by it in 6-straight wins, close game losses, sweeps and more. You don't call that being a fan? Being a fan doesn't mean you just pick a team that wins a lot, you have to at least have a reason behind it. True fans have to experience losses, times of struggle. If you "think" you are a loyal fan, you might need a realty check.

Yes. I understand now the Orioles won't make the play-offs. But what do you expect after an 18-inning game?

Congratulations to the Red Sux. I really don't care anymore.

Comments: I understand one was 18 innings and they lost. The thought of that really makes me mad. But hopefully (well they need) to win these next 3 games not trying to sound too ahead of myself, but the Orioles lately haven't been showing what they're capable of. Every team has an almost double-header (in extra-innings) for that long. The other day there was 15. I think earlier in the year there was 20-21. It's not that special.

Comments: I still have faith in spite of what others think. Baseball is just numbers. I think sometimes those numbers just get to our head.

Torturing yankees fans: 25 homeruns scored within the three-straight losses against the Red Sox. I have to admit having a 7-2 and then loosing 7-8 is really, really annoying and the fact that former-Orioles pitcher Koji Uehara has a Cy Young Award nomination. Why does that always happen? Well they're better off without him because I think during this trade they got Tommy Hunter and Chris Davis. The Rangers must have some regrets- letting go of Uehara and Davis. Hunter not so much.

Comments: Didn't even want to spare the details. The rest of this season looks rather doubting, but only a true fan never completely gives up. Orioles ventboard is the one who stays true to my thoughts and helps me and some others get through this difficult time.
 But has MLB yet considering that A-Rod possibly recommended his other teammates for biogenesis? What about Soriano who's been randomly all of a sudden hitting these home runs? Other than Davis, the Orioles have never had any one like this. Either that or the people they traded became huge home-run hitting stars. Can't you see the frustration?
 To that one yankee fan (who is most likely reading this- for whom this is addressed to) don't have the last laugh. You tried to prove to me that A-Rod wasn't in the game in the ALDS, well he was. Probably on steroids. How do you think that feels- your team possibly winning their fourth world series title in 30 years and what? A steroid user comes to hit the winning run and knock them out. A team that worked so hard throughout the 2012 season to that. FOR ONCE THE YANKEES CAN'T GET THEIR WAY! PLEASE JUST THIS ONCE

Comments: For a brief moment, I would like any yankees fans possibly reading this to imagine if they lost these two games like these past two. You'll probably think the same way I do- angry, this is unfair and just frustration. Or for some people you cannot even imagine it.
 But that's baseball. You are forced to live through things. All I want is just one year that the yankees don't get their way. Is that too hard to ask? They are on the verge of getting A-Rod to return without any bans or fines even though he DID play in the ALDS scoring the winning home run while possible under the use of steroids. WHY DOES IT KEEP BEING DENIED? The Orioles were FINALLY approaching their possible 4th World Series win after 30 or so years and what? A-Rod comes and ruins it for them. Or well the yankees did. Don't deny it... This is nothing but the cold hard truth. Deal with it.

But anyway.. whatever happens- THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL
