vs. Rays WON 6-3
vs. Rays- make up of 4/9 WON 5-0

Sometimes I really wonder how MLB figures it out, in terms of scheduling and figuring out when postponed games will be made up.
ORIOLES RECORD (as of July 4th): 47-35, 1st place.
on Manny Machado's suspension (I know this is old news, but the wound is still fresh):
I thought it was awesome, I mean the Royals pitchers are known for that kind of thing which is really no match for Machado's Miami-bred personality (Miami is a pretty crazy city isn't it?). Interesting enough, Yordano Vertura actually got suspended for more games than Machado. But that is because he threw a 99 mile per hour fast ball. That's pretty dangerous.
Upcoming Posts, hopefully for this week:
The fall and setback of major teams: Yankees, and others
Orioles Merchandise/Giveaways-what you get and what they are
More Where Are They Now?, checking in with former Oriole players
Upcoming Events:
Home Run Derby / All-Star Game
Monday, July 11th / Tuesday, July 12th
Petco Park
San Diego, California
Interesting enough they already know where the All-Star Games will be played in 2017 (Miami Marlins // Marlins Park) and 2018 (Washington Nationals // Nationals Park). So this must be some pretty serious business.
Remember to Vote Orange for the 2016 All-Star Game!

Major Catch-Up and Plans
Another major hiatus and hopefully the last one for now. Some how I'm going to manage to blog about all the April, May, and June games over the next three days. These posts won't have much commentary to them unfortunately because I don't remember what exactly happened during these games nor can I remember what I had for breakfast a week ago. Updates will be attempted to be done weekly with opinions and random posts. At the end of the month will feature a brief summary of the month's games.

Game 1 WON 2-1
Game 2 LOST 0-3
Game 3 LOST 5-9
Injury Updates-
Jason Garcia: 60 day (right shoulder tendinitis)
Jonathan Schoop: 60 day (PCL tear, MCL sprain)
Wesley Wright: 60 day (trapezius strain)
A little late, but WELCOME BACK MATT WIETERS!!
Adam Jones, was also hurt during my hiatus but recovered during the time as well. On June 20th, he was benched with an injured shoulder. He has come back as of last night's game (but it could of been earlier that he made a return). Jones is fairly one of the best center fielders out there, in my opinion but I don't think they should be working him this much. I know sometime this month (June) they benched him, so he could rest. So I'm not directing this just at Jones, but also other players too. Now since I don't see who's playing every game, I can't argue this that much. And I am keeping in the back of my mind that these players are incredibly devoted and also are getting paid decent sums of money, so I guess the Orioles organization is trying to get their money's worth but they should also follow through at the extent of the health of their players.
Orioles All-Star Nominees
(All-Star Game 2015- Great American Ballpark, home of Cincinnati Reds)
Chris Davis... Designated Hitter
J.J. Hardy... Shortstop
Adam Jones... Outfielder
Caleb Joseph... Catcher (They probably didn't nominate Wieters since he wasn't playing at the time)
Manny Machado... Third Base
Steve Pearce... First Base
Jonathan Schoop... Second Base (IF selected, probably runner up will play. As mentioned earlier Schoop has a PCL tear and MCL sprain)
Travis Snider... Outfielder
For some reason I completely forgot about Nick Markakis going to the Braves. I honestly surprised myself on that one because I was about to write that Markakis was on the disabled list or something. It's been weird not to have him on the team since I've known him since the first time I took interest in the Orioles (2011). Markakis did actually make the all-star ballot, for the national league.
NOTE: BE SURE TO CHECK OUT BLOG TOMORROW MORNING.
I am currently waiting for the final game of June that the Orioles are playing against the Rangers tonight. Since it will be easier to post all of the games at once without missing any, I will hopefully have the scores up by late morning/early afternoon but if I don't remember it will probably be up towards the late afternoon. Thank you!

Orioles Games Get Interrupted By Protests
Orioles vs. Red Sox
Game 1 LOST 2-3
Game 2 WON 4-1
Game 3 WON 8-3
Game 4 LOST 1-7
Orioles vs. Blue Jays
Game 1 LOST 6-13

Game 3 WON 18-7
White Sox vs. Orioles
Game 1 Postponed due to Freddie Gray protests.
Game 2 Postponed
Game 3 WON 8-2 (this game was the talk of town... Many thought it was creepy as it sounds-playing in a ballpark without any fans leaving a lot less background noise, and no one was there to pick up the balls. Chris Davis did hit one out to Eutaw Street)
Orioles empty ballpark on April 29th, while playing the Chicago White Sox.
(source-abc7chicago.com)
These protests, are necessary I believe because I think that it wasn't on accident that all these police officers keep shooting blacks. I think that everyone in America should be viewed with the same amount of respect, and a police officer's first instinct shouldn't be to shoot or cause harm to a person just because they look suspicious. But these protests are going far beyond the point. With the destroying of buildings and damaging cars, I think that there is a better way to get the point across. In regards to what Adam Jones commentated on this problem, this is Baltimore. You live here and at the end of the day, the protests aren't worthless but they're getting out of hand. The looting of stores is far too selfish and beyond the point. The protests should be peaceful and get the point across without being detrimental to the safety of others, because Baltimore in the end is and should be a good place to live.

I swear that I posted the Rays series on here, but apparently not.
Orioles vs. Rays

Game 3 LOST 0-2
Orioles vs. Blue Jays
Orioles First Return To Camden Yards Since October...
Game 1 LOST 5-12

Game 3 LOST 7-10
The Blue Jays definitely are a team to be watching.
Orioles vs. Yankees
Game 1 LOST 5-6
Game 2 WON 4-3
Game 3 WON 7-5 (Jackie Robinson Day)
The yankees don't seem to be their normal selves without Derek Jeter. Although it's great to have Alex Rodriquez back again...
RECORD- 5 WINS, 4 LOSSES (3rd Place)
Sad to see Nick Markakis doing so well with the Braves. At least the Braves are not in the same league or division as the Orioles.
Currently Playing- Boston Red Sox @Fenway Park, April 17th-April 20th
INJURY UPDATES
J.J. Hardy- Will be back in mid-April began rehab on April 13th (Injury: Left shoulder strain)

Big Catch Up
I have been a very disloyal fan these last couple of weeks. I never really knew what the score was these last couple of games. Sorry for all the lateness!
Orioles vs. Indians (home)
Game 1 LOST 7-8
Game 2 WON 8-4
Game 3 LOST 0-9
Game 4 WON 4-2
Orioles vs. Brewers (away)
Game 1 WON 7-6
Game 2 LOST 6-7
Game 3 LOST 3-8
Orioles vs. Astros (away)
Game 1 LOST 1-3
Game 2 LOST 1-2 (civil rights game)
Game 3 WON 4-1
Game 4 WON 9-4
I don't think the Orioles have civil rights to get pitchers who can actually secure the win.
Orioles vs. Rangers (away)
Game 1 WON 8-3
Game 2 WON 6-5
Game 3 LOST 8-6
Why is it always 8-6? Those are always the games where the Orioles are down eight-zip and manage to score six runs, but after that cannot even score another run. They need to try harder and enough with the close games!

The Orioles Are Back to Their Regular Business
Orioles vs. Astros
Game 1 4-3 WON
Game 2 5-4 WON
Game 3 2-5 LOST
Chris Davis returns. Bet you thought you'd see the last of him this year, suckers!
Orioles vs. Tigers
They lost all of them.
The scores were-
1-4
5-7
2-1
Orioles vs. Royals
Game 1 WON 2-1
Game 2 WON 4-0
Game 3 LOST 0-1
Game 4 LOST 6-8
Orioles vs. Pirates
Game 1 WON 9-2
Game 2 LOST 8-9
Although the last game was yet another one of Hunter's casualties, in game one Davis hit three home runs. Hey yankees, are you jealous yet?

Orioles Take Over AL East
Orioles vs. Pirates
Game 1 WON 5-1
Game 2 WON 6-5
Game 3 to be made up eventually-a makeup date has not been decided yet.
In the second game, Manny Machado made his 2014 season debut after his leg injury at the end of the 2013 season.
Orioles vs. Twins
Game 1 WON 3-0
Game 2 LOST 1-6
Game 3 LOST 2-5
Imagine playing that first game with cow bells. That must of made the pitchers mad (hence how the away team gave up no runs to the home)
Orioles vs. Rays
Game 1 WON 5-3
Game 2 WON 4-3
Game 3 WON 3-1
I believe during the second or first game Matt Wieters was taken out for elbow pain. The x-rays showed he wouldn't need Tommy John surgery, and he wasn't in pain while he hit. So he's temporarily moved to designated hitter until he's comfortable to start catching again.

Orioles Thrive In Canada, Lose Chris Davis and the Wins in Baltimore
@ Blue Jays
Lost 3-9
Won 10-8
Won 11-4
vs. Royals
Lost 0-5
Won 3-2
Lost 9-3
Chris Davis was placed on the 15-day disabled list. Not only did he crush through wins, but is also crushing at our hope of chance of surviving the AL East for the next 15 days or more of recovery. Get well soon Davis, we need you!
Manny Machado has been hitting at a local game in Fredrick. He is coming closer to recovery we all hope because I wouldn't be able to bare Jonathan Schoop (who has been involved in multiple lost close games) to give up another error.
UPDATE- Manny Machado was actually reinstated during today's double header but will not play both games for sure.

Orioles Join Red Sox For Marathon Celebration
The red sox hosted the Orioles at Fenway Park for a four game series which one game occurred at 11:05 am an honorary tradition on the day of the Boston Marathon that always occurs on easter monday.
Game 1
WON 8-4
Game 2
LOST 2-4
Game 3
LOST 5-6
Ubaldo Jimenez's reaction
Just kidding it was all Jonathan Schoop's fault. This is the second game he's done that. Schoop is doing all the things Manny wouldn't do. Manny, come back!
Game 4
WON 7-6

Rays and Jays Series Review
Orioles vs. Blue Jays
Lost 2-0
Won 1-2
Lost 11-3
The Orioles really should of done better. This team isn't even in America! Isn't baseball suppose to be AMERICA'S past time?
Orioles vs. Rays
Won 1-7
Won 0-3
The 2nd game was postponed due to rain and will probably be made up in early May (possibly, unless noted otherwise) when the teams meet next.
Support your birds as they play on the red sox! Beat the green monster!

Tigers/Yankees Series
Orioles vs. Tigers
Lost 4-10
Lost 6-7
Won 3-1
Orioles vs. Yankees
Lost 2-4
Won 14-5
Won 5-4
So, this was the first time playing Roberts. And he attempts to hit a home run. Of course, he could of done this in any other game. He better get the most of his career... all four years of it because before you know it, he'll be over the hill. What a traitor.
So, apparently an obnoxious yankees fan walked onto the field thinking he was "so cool" or it did it as an "I dare you to do this and I will give you $200 and a bail"
Adam Jones statement on the occurrence-
“I think it’s idiotic for people to run on the field, and I think the punishment needs to be a lot harsher, and they should let us have a shot to kick them with our metal spikes on because it’s stupid,”
“We don’t go to any other events,” Jones said. “We don’t go to other sporting events and do that to their jobs, but they come to ours and do that. I get it, you’re drunk and you want to be on SportsCenter. Your [butt] is going to jail with a fine, and you might not be allowed to come back to the ballpark.” (source- sports illustrated unwired)
I actually agree. Tell me about it. Yankees fans suck. All they do is buy overpriced tickets and spill beer all over your feet. I don't know if that's what all baseball parks do, but here it seems ten times as worse.

Orioles Fail to Bring On A Good Vibe At Opening Day Series
This is a little late.
Orioles vs. Red Sox
Opening Day Series
@ Camden Yards
Game 1- WON 1-2
Then it felt good. 1 and 0.
Game 2- LOST 6-2
Eh. 1-1
Game 3- LOST 4-3
1 and 2. It will get better I just know it!
Where's Jim Johnson when you need him?

Postseason Game #47- Yankees vs Orioles
It's a miracle! The Orioles won 2/3 games while playing the yankees and they were playing Kuroda too.
WON 3-6
Ay, Minnesota is still loosing games. Now they are up to 8.
See, despite all the bad still have hope and it will all be better even though the Orioles are in 3rd place. You never know. One time the Orioles had two streaks of loosing 7 straight in one year and they still ended up with 98 wins. So you never know.
Saturday, May 18, 2013
Postseason Game #42- Rays vs Orioles
LOST 12-10
Were winning 1-3, but when you think about it, that's not very large. At least they didn't loose 12-4.
Better improve these next 2 days and especially against the yankees. The Orioles were actually world-wide trending... don't know why though. #Orioles. One time Chris Davis trended because of all the home runs he'd been hitting and so was Adam Jones.
The More You Know #4- All of the seats are green, but only 2 are orange. They signal places where Cal Ripken Jr. hit his record breaking home run and where Ernie Banks broke a record.
Wednesday, May 15, 2013
Postseason Game # 41- Padres vs Orioles
LOST 8-4 GRRR
but the yankees are loosing 7-0 in the first inning...
The More You Know #2- Babe Ruth's parents saloon was located where now is the Oriole's center field.
Postseason Game #40- Padres vs Orioles
LOST (BUT COULD OF WON) 3-2
Comments: Really wish they could of won this game, but you can't win them all unless you are the yankees who no matter what the score is can catch up to you do to steroids. I wish one day the whole yankees team will get caught doing steroids then there would be no team at all!
W: 23 L: 16

Postseason Game #39-Orioles vs Twins
Jonesy with what you looks to be the usual sight of bubble gum
WON 6-0
Bad news.... Chen is hurt with a right oblique strain. No updates on how long it will be until he's fully recovered.
The More You Know #1
Did you know that "The Baltimore Sun" sign below the clock at Camden Yards also helps indicate to fans on the flag court when a hit or an error is scored by lighting up the h or e in the.
W: 23 L: 15

Postseason Game #38- Orioles vs Twins
LOST 5-8
Comments- So close, within reach, but so far. It's another one of those games... what happened to the pitching in 2012? This is getting annoying. In spring training it was one thing, but you can't be pulling this off in postseason games. That is how the Orioles will always fall behind and the yankees will probably snag 11 straight like last year. Have been winning those close games.. what..2-3 times in a row. In order for you to win, you shouldn't win by one point. That means the team barely tried.
