The Orioles Swept the White Sox, But the Cubs Sweep Them
Orioles vs. White Sox
Game 1 WON 8-2
Game 2 WON 5-1
Game 3 WON 4-3
This was good. The Orioles need to start sweeping series now- the yankees are catching up slowly and it's about time they go a few years without a world series or even playoffs title. They do not deserve a Derek Jeter's "final stand" recognition...
Orioles vs. Cubs
Game 1 LOST 1-4
Game 2 LOST 2-7
Game 3 LOST 1-2
If I were to pick the outcome of these two series before they were actually played, I would think that the white sox would of swept them or won most of the games. The cubs are an easy team to face. What makes me even more mad is that the first game (vs. cubs) I believe they lost to Jake Arrieta, the former Oriole. That just makes me mad. They are never good enough for playing for the Orioles but for a team that doesn't not matter like the cubs they are close to throwing a no-hitter. That is terrible. It happened with Jason Hammel, Jose Bautista (yes, they had him for a year), and Pedro Strop is just the same. I realize the Orioles will probably not make it long into the playoffs because they just barely hang there offensively and just get lucky that maybe the opposing team is tired from just coming from the west coast or something like that.
And, Manny Machado is out for the season for another knee surgery.
