MANNY MACHADO UPDATE

Manny Machado underwent a procedure to repair his torn medial patellofemoral ligament in his left knee last Monday. Machado is now expected to return in six months.
Now the first thing I did when I found out was I began counting on my fingers. For all of you doubters, Machado could be back in March, which is good so he can practice but he could miss until the middle of April.
What I am noticing is before the six months it said COULD. That means don't be surprised it's six months or if it's shorter. I am not trying to rush his recovery, but if he's fully recovered by Spring Training, don't get me wrong, that's great. But if it takes extra longer, than fine just deal with it. From what it says, he will be projected to play a bulk of the season which isn't a problem.
I think he was bound to get hurt at one point. I mean every young athlete usually does when they're off like a rocket like Machado was. In his career so far, he hasn't gotten majorly hurt at one point so it was bound to happen. Better now in the off-season. Let's hope it doesn't limit the number of great Manny-plays in the 2014 season.

Till then, Hakuna Machado!
