Orioles Report Hardy and Wieters Are Staying Put
As you recall there's been a rumor that the Orioles were going to send away 2013 Gold Glove winner, J.J Hardy as well as former-gold glove winner Wieters to the Cardinals in exchange for rookie pitcher, Shelby Miller.
The Orioles have reported that the three players are staying where they are and have no recent plans to get rid of the players.
Although for Wieters it may be a different story, but doesn't have to do with the "Matt Weiters" case. Do you think he really cares about that or the fact that he's being paid currently as we speak $5,500,000. Now it may be possible the cut will happen but a source reported they are not looking actively to give him away by any standard.
I don't believe Wieters would be traded away but wouldn't be surprised if the cut happened. I'd much rather see Teagarden get cut because hey he doesn't even know when an inning is over when there's two outs nor can he really hit a ball. You see catchers matter more offensively and sort of matter defensively but they aren't counted on as much. I really think Wieters should just stay... there's plenty of other options.
