The Orioles recently made an update to their pitcher staff or well added three new players to the 40-man roster- left-hander, Tim Berry, catcher, Micheal Ohlman (in place of Wieters?) and right-hander, Eddie Gamboa. The Orioles also signed Sharlon Schoop brother of Orioles 2nd baseman Jonathan Schoop who made his debut in the 2013 season. Sharlon is mainly a shortstop but he's played some outfield corners and other infield positions.
Now according to some trade rumors there's also the possibly now that Vargas is off the table that the Orioles will sign Jhonny Peralta as a left-fielder, but it's also possible the Orioles will resign free agent Nate McLouth to a multi-year contract.
MATT WIETERS UPDATES
For Matt Wieters, his "agent" is asking too much of an asking price on behalf of a catcher. I mean playing the position is extremely difficult I understand, but they don't have to do any defensive plays just catch the ball the player doesn't hit. It's an extreme potential of being injured but if you chose to play the position you're gonna have to pay the price. I have no idea how much this agent's asking but I'm pretty sure that it's WAY more than what the Orioles want to pay. They could be paying multiple outfielders for the price he's asking. But for right now he's staying in Baltimore until at least the end of the 2015 season so we'll just have to see what happens.
