2015 All-Star Game
American League vs. National League
Great American Ballpark~ Cincinnati, Ohio
SCORE: 6-3
MVP: MIKE TROUT (2nd time in a row he's won this title- He apparently donated the bat he received this year to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY)
By the time I actually had the time to write this, the Orioles are off their four-day vacation and in Detroit. This game proves that no rest was actually needed to fix their loosing streak, as they are currently loosing 1-3. Hopefully this game and the standings will turn around at one point, eventually because the morale here on this blog isn't that good.
As for the All-Star Game the only part I really only watched the introduction/where they introduced all of the players. Saw Adam Jones, say "hi mom!" and also recognized all of the yankees, no not because of their uniforms but the way they held themselves with such high esteem.
Shout out to the Cincinnati Reds for having a pretty nice ballpark, except it's way too easy to hit home runs there.
NEWS INSIDE THE YARD:
Orioles apparently will not sign second-round pick Jonathan Hughes. Apparently Hughes was 68th in the overall draft this year and has decided to attend Georgia Tech and play there, I guess. The Orioles have currently selected 35 of the 41 selections and hopefully picked the other six because the deadline was at 5:00PM (eastern time).
Orioles lost pitcher Michael Bowden who played for the Norfolk Tides. Apparently he was one of the very best there, but however the Orioles opted out his contract and is a free agent. There has yet to be a team to sign Bowden, but hopefully he'll be given the chance to play on a major league team.
Updates to appear regularly from now on, despite the hiatus there was on posting this. Hopefully by the next entry there will be something to talk about...
